Do we really need politicians?

Couldn’t we just have a computer program decide what is best for us?

This is an interesting question, and one that has been debated for many years. Ultimately, the answer to this question depends on the individual and their beliefs. Some people believe that computers can think more rationally and objectively than humans, and that they could make decisions that are best for society. Others believe that the human element is necessary in the decision-making process, and that computers could not adequately consider all the nuances of a situation.

With the progress that has already been made in AI/ML space and the advent of DAOs, can’t we make politicians obsolete?

The thing about AI is that its not AGI! AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence. It is a type of artificial intelligence that is designed to replicate and surpass human intelligence in a wide range of tasks. AGI seeks to understand how humans think and learn and use that knowledge to create powerful algorithms and artificial agents that can solve complex problems. We have not yet achieved this.

There are many reasons why we have not yet achieved Artificial General Intelligence. One of the major reasons is that we don’t yet fully understand how the human brain works and how it is able to process and interpret data. Without this understanding, we cannot replicate the functions of the brain in an artificial system. Additionally, creating an artificial system that can learn and adapt like humans is incredibly difficult, as there is no single algorithm or approach that can tackle all problems. Finally, there is a lack of computing power and resources available to build an AGI system. This means that current AI systems are limited in capabilities and cannot yet achieve the level of complexity needed to reach AGI.

Keeping that in mind, humans are better at decision making than AI because humans are able to use their intuition and experience to make decisions. Humans also have the ability to think creatively and consider a wide range of variables, while AI is limited to what data has been fed to it. Humans also have the ability to empathize and understand emotional contexts, which AI cannot do.

Now lets take a look at what is a DAO. DAOs, or Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, are decentralized networks that are run by a computer program that is based on a set of predetermined rules. These rules, or protocols, are written into a Smart Contract, which is a digital contract that is stored on a blockchain. DAOs are designed to operate without any human interference and are autonomous, meaning all decisions are made by the code. They are a revolutionary new way of organizing and managing businesses, and can potentially revolutionize many industries.

The problem with DAOs is that they are difficult to maintain and operate. A DAO is a complex system that requires careful planning and implementation, and requires a high level of trust in the organization’s code. Another important thing is that a lack of regulation in the blockchain space can make it difficult to ensure that a DAO is operating in a legal and compliant manner.

Hence we cannot just use DAOs as a replacement for politicians. DAOs are decentralized organizations that are managed using blockchain-based smart contracts. These organizations are designed to automate certain processes, like voting and decision-making, but they cannot replace the nuanced decision-making, regulatory oversight, and policy development that politicians provide. Politicians are responsible for creating laws and regulations, and they are accountable to the public for their actions. Without them, our society would be unable to function and progress.
